Our Annual General Membership  Meeting and BBQ was held June 24th, 2018 on a beautiful warm day at the Lick Observatory picnic grounds.  Volunteers for set-up began arriving at  9:30 A.M.  Our system seems to be getting more efficient every year but there is always a lot to do.  A huge THANK YOU goes out to all the helpers!

Our meeting began before lunch.  This year was an election year for directors and officers.  Directors present were:  President, John Kuntzmann, Treasurer, Rochelle Barsnick, Secretary, Sharon Kuntzmann, Directors, John Chamorro, Ron & Carol Portal, Gary Stoddard, Clarie Telles, Carol Nash, Gregg Winovich,  Dennis Del Ponte, Jill Leber, and Kevin Jensen. Election of Officers began with those willing to serve another term: John Kuntzmann as President, Rochelle Barsnick as Treasurer. and Sharon Kuntzmann as Secretary.  We then elected Jill Leber as our new Vice President.  Joining us as a new director is Jen Soutas. Thanks to all for helping to keep our organization alive by your service.

We enjoyed some informative speakers.  Kostas Chloros from Lick Observatory up-dated us on the happenings. Chief Crawford from CAL Fire spoke about fire prevention, Sheriff Ryan Schaefers introduced himself and his schedule in the back country. John Hirokowa introduced himself and his interest in running for Sheriff. Kevin Jensen spoke briefly about the need for a new sheriff interested in the back country.

After a delicious meal, we held the much anticipated  annual RAFFLE.  Winners were everywhere and very happy.  We even enjoyed raffling off much of the left over food also. A huge thank you goes out to all the wonderful neighbors who donated many prizes!

We want to thank everyone who attend our annual event.  A HEART FELT THANK YOU TO ALL THE AWESOME PEOPLE WHO HELPED TO MAKE THIS SUCH A SUCCESSFUL EVENT.  This could not be achieved without you whether you helped with set-up, clean-up, food prep, purchasing supplies, hauling supplies, donating raffle prizes  or bringing a yummy dessert! This is our community, and I am proud to be associated with you all!

Here are some memories:
