GREETINGS FROM PRESIDENT

Dear MHRIA Members and Friends,

As we look forward to our first board meeting of the year next month, I would like to reflect on our past year in the back-country to encourage participation by all members and new growth.   Our lands cover hundreds of square miles and our members cover the complete demographics young to not young, ranchers, residents, property owners and friends but we all have a common bond; we all love the back-country, its beauty, and lifestyle.

In 2015, we helped win a major victory in keeping the CAL Fire Sweetwater Station #25 open year round for the year and hopefully beyond.  We had a wonderful general meeting and picnic last June and added new members and a new Director.  Most of all we persevered in our day-to-day lives with a vision to preserve it for future generations.  We will have a Board of Directors meeting in late March where we will begin planning the general meeting and picnic, and make volunteer assignments.  If you would like to volunteer, and/or suggest a VIP or speaker to invite, please contact me or any Board member.  In addition, we will be looking for nominations and preparing a ballot for those wishing to be directors and officers. Soon we will be putting signage along Mount Hamilton Road- Highway 130 that invites members and visitors alike to visit our website. We have created a GMAIL email account for those who want to join our association, find out more information or contact a Board member: mhriacontact@gmail.com.

As always guest are invited to our board meetings and help is always needed and appreciated.

Best Wishes for a healthy and prosperous year,

John Kuntzmann

President
